OUR EDUCATIONAL TOOLS
The Escalation Workshop - a 90-minute, film-based experience that educates about the warning signs of an abusive relationship and creates a safe zone for discussing an all-too-common problem. Over 307,000 students have participated in the Escalation Workshop at more than 600 Colleges, 350 High Schools, 90 Nonprofits, and 180 community organizations in all 50 states. The workshop is consistently cited as “relatable” and “eye-opening” by students.
#ThatsNotLove Campaign - a series of short, shareable digital content in six unique chapters [Chapter 1: Because I Love You, Chapter 2: Couplets, Chapter 3: Asterisk, Chapter 4: Love Labyrinth, Chapter 5: Pets vs. Partners and Chapter 6: Behind the Post ) that seeks to define the gray area between love and control. The campaign was intentionally designed and named to allow people to use the phrase, “That’s Not Love!” when they see friends in an unhealthy or abusive relationship, and has been viewed over 85 million times.
Discussion Guides - To help with these difficult conversations, One Love has created discussion guides, complete with questions and answers, that examine unhealthy relationship behaviors seen in our videos. These guides have been designed for conversations in the classroom, in group or team settings, or even with friends and loved ones.
OUR IMPACT
“Hi One Love, I thank you endlessly for the incredible and much needed work you are doing to help girls understand the warning signs and unhealthy behaviours of abusive relationships. I found myself in an abusive relationship at 18 for 2 years and I had never heard of a warning sign or red flag to look for. If I knew I wouldn't have confused those unhealthy demonstrations for intense love. Your beautiful daughter must be so proud seeing everything from above, preventing and protecting so many strong, intelligent and incredible girls from abuse. THANK YOU for making the world a better and safer place xxxx”
“Happy to support! We did a game this spring and I was really impressed with all of our girls and how they handled the event. I am honored to work with college age men and women and your organization has taught both genders the importance of healthy relationships. Keep up the great work!!”
“The amount of teams I see participating in Join1Love games to raise awareness and funds to combat relationship violence this year is INSPIRING! Kudos to the lacrosse community for growing the message and here’s to getting ALL sports involved moving forward. #LOVEBETTER ”

“I saw [the Upworthy video of Love Labyrinth], And Im the guy, I am so the guy, I know i am wrong, I want change but idk how. I dont like hurting the person i like and it always ends up hurting me too but i know i hurt the other person more now”
"One of my friends who was at the workshop last night texted me last night about her friend she didn’t realize is in an abusive relationship - She called her friend and talked about it last night. She said this was the first time her friend was honest with her about how her boyfriend has been treating her. Thanks for doing what you do, you already made a difference in someone’s life here at LUC!"
“Your Love Labyrinth video helped me realize that the relationship I was in was unhealthy and my boyfriend at the time was emotionally abusive and controlling. It was like watching a short film of what I was facing daily. Thank you so much. Leaving him was very messy and scary and emotionally taxing but I'm so thankful that I was able to. My friends and family had been warning me about him, but I made excuses. Your foundation helped me wake up and realize that it was not normal. Keep it up, you changed my life. God bless.”
