First of all, we want to thank you again for your attention and donations! Thank you very much for supporting us!

We continue to help nursing homes. We hire and train additional care staff, buy furniture and equipment, care and hygiene products, make repairs and organize leisure activities.

For more than several months we have been preparing a lot to bring the magical New Year celebration for the people living in nursing homes. We plan to prepare a festive dinner and give 50,000 presents to our dear elderlies.

And we already try to create a festive mood. Together with the residents we decorate the halls and rooms and create handmade toys for the Christmas trees.

There are many different and interesting events ahead. Thank you for helping to make a fairy tale come true and helping to give some magic to those who need it most!

We wish you appy New Year and a year full of health, happiness and success!

New ways to help those who are sick

Dear friend,

You are subscribed to the news of the project “Surviving COVID-19 in Russian Nursing Homes” of the charitable foundation “Enjoyable Ageing”. We are pleased to present a new report about this project.

First of all, we want to thank you again for your donations! Thank you for supporting us during the pandemic. We are happy to save lives together with you!

The number of cases of COVID-19 is constantly growing, so we continue to supply medicines and equipment for the recovery of patients in nursing homes.

We found additional staff, hired and paid for the work of nurses and doctors who came to replace the sick staff members.

We understand that it is very important to provide not only medical and daily care, but also to prevent the development of depression and fear, to provide leisure.

That is why we started to develop a project in which our volunteers support and entertain the elderly through video communication. We purchased computers and WiFi routers and delivered them to more than 80 nursing homes. We held mass events and tried to especially support those who are experiencing lack of communication and need extra support.

In addition, we made sure that the elderlies are able to communicate with relatives on a regular basis via the Internet.

This all became possible thanks to your support and the wonderful team of the GlobalGiving project.

Next year we will continue helping out with medicines, equipment and personnel. We will provide the opportunities to arrange video communication in the nursing homes lacking it – so that we all together with our wonderful volunteers’ team could help the elderlies to survive the pandemic with everlasting hope and upbeat mood, whatever comes. Concerts, master classes, workout sessions and other exciting events are awaiting them.

Happy New Year! We wish you a healthy, peaceful and successful year ahead!

Thank you for being with us!

Always yours,

The "Enjoyable Ageing" team.

With hope for the future

Dear friend,

You are subscribed to the news of the project "Nurses for old and disabled people in Russia" of the charitable foundation "Enjoyable Ageing". We are pleased to present a new report about this project.

First of all, we want to thank you again for your donations! Thanks to your help, we were able to dedicate even more care and attention to the elderly and disabled, helping them to believe in themselves and reevaluate their own capabilities.

The New Year is coming, so our nurses don’t not just perform daily routine work – they also try to create a festive mood. Together with the residents they decorate halls, rooms and Christmas trees with beautiful toys.

Nurses try to find out what treats the elderlies would like to see for the New Year's dinner. All the requests are sent to our foundation, so that we can help organize festive dinners for residents and staff.

Because of COVID-19 this year was very difficult for our nurses. Some of them worked for 16 hours per day to replace the sick colleagues, others got sick  themselves.

The condition of many elderly people has worsened. Many of them lost their mobility. Others are irritated or lost their patience, gave up and now suffer from depression…

So now our staff faces a new challenge. It is necessary to restore the usual way of life after isolation. We will support our nurses and really believe that things will work out!

We really hope that everything will get better in the new year!

We wish you a Happy New Year and much joy!

Always yours,

The "Enjoyable Ageing" team.
