Hello Cafe - Free space for locals

Dear donors,

During these months, hello Cafe hosted some activities, organized by local and international volunteers.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Hello cafe for local kids, event was organized by organization's Peace Corps Volunteer. Kids tried different traditional American food for this day and played some funny games.

European Christmas was also celebrated at the cafe, our Polish volunteer Paulina organized funny Kahoot queez for kids about different Christmas traditions around the world. Kids got present and got familiar with so many new information that will be useful for future.

On New Year Eve local volunteers organized New Year's party for local youth, where they played different board games.

All of these would not be possible without your help, thanks again.

Hello Cafe maintains the status of open space

Dear friends and donors,

Here are few things that happened at the cafe during last 3 months.

Hello Cafe supported local young techer from the settlement. We gave her one room twice in every week in order to conduct lessons in Georgian for local youth who are getting ready for national examinations. It is very hard to fit several pupils at home so this kind of collaboration helps us to increase the awareness about the cafe and also contribute in their education.

Hello Cafe also hosted several meetings regarding peace education, the importance of peacebuilding from international perspective.

We also hosted the seminar regarding gender issues. The regional organization's representative had a presentation for youth in order  how to discover the gender violence around them and prevent it.

With your help we already reached our funding goal and we are very thankful about that. Nowadays our main goal is to maintain the space of the cafe for such activities that will promote the integration of IDPs. For this, we need to pay monthly rent for the cafe.

We would like to mention that without your help, all these would be impossible.

Hello Cafe as an Youth Space

Dear friends and donors,

Here are few things that happened at the cafe last 3 months.

We hosted the event of US Embassy Bookmobile in Tserovani. Independent Day of US on July 4th. Bookmobile coordinators planned different activities for youth and used cafe's place to introduce to the kids the importance of this day.

Cafe also hosted several sessions of the Build Camp in Tserovani which was run by Peace Corps and European Voluntary Service Volunteers from tserovani and from other regions of Georgia as well.

EVS volunteer, Kornelia also had several meetings for kids and their parents about art therapy, where they experienced yoga for beginners. Also paintings on the skirts and bags that were handmade.

From September Cafe plans to actively use the space for EVS volunteers' activities like face paintings and different sessions like emphatic education.

We would like to mention that without your help, all these would be impossible.

Nowadays it is a big challenge for us to keep cafe as a business that has certain income, we had focus group, where we got familiar about the approach of beneficiaries regarding the cafe. They appreciate the possibility that cafe offers as an open space, but as a space for relaxation, some coffee, tea, they prefer to go outside of Tserovani and change the environment. That why, according to their recommendations, we try to keep the main function of the cafe for Tserovani, and we are open for all the activity, event and idea, that will run in Tserovani.
