The Welbodi Partnership

To improve healthcare for mothers and children in Sierra Leone.
Communities Fighting Ebola in Urban Sierra Leone

The Welbodi Partnership works in some of the poorest urban neighborhoods of Freetown, many of them very hard hit by the Ebola outbreak. With this project, we will engage with community leaders and the staff of primary health clinics, who often know best what they need to stop the spread of Ebola and reduce its impact in their communities. We will provide funding for the most promising of these ideas, and will help community groups and front line health workers implement these initiatives. project reportread updates from the field
Saving Lives of Children & Mothers in Sierra Leone

Mothers and children in Sierra Leone are dying avoidable deaths. 12 out of every 100 children die before their fifth birthday, and 136 out of 10,000 mothers die during pregnancy and birth. You can help our team in Freetown, who work alongside Sierra Leone doctors and nurses, to offer training and mentoring, help them set up systems, and work with families in the community. You can be part of ensuring that more mothers and children live to enjoy healthy and fulfilling lives.
