Thank You for Supporting the Little Angels!

A Little Angel
A Little Angel

Over the past couple of years, you were instrumental in supporting the children attending Mustard Seed Communities’ Little Angel’s Learning Centers in Jamaica. LALC students come from impoverished communities, and the education and nutritious meals they receive in MSC’s care is vital to giving them the head start in life that all children deserve.

Thanks to your generosity, students benefitted from the strong curriculum prepared by the LALC teachers which allows them to succeed when they enter the first grade. They also participated in various enrichment programs including our annual Sports Days and Career Days.

Even though Mustard Seed Communities is ending our fundraising efforts for Little Angel’s on GlobalGiving, the need does not go away. Please continue to follow us on social media, or visit our website www.mustardseed.com for updates.

Thank you for support!

A New School Year for Little Angels

Future Doctors and Nurses!
Future Doctors and Nurses!

The 2018-2019 school year at Mustard Seed Communities’ Little Angels Learning Centers (LALC) in Jamaica has begun with much excitement! We welcomed students in Kingston and Gordontown, and they have many things to look forward to this year. On a typical day, students spend time learning both as a group and individually through lessons and play. All of the children also receive two nutritious meals a day.

Students are also able to participate in various enrichment programs. One of the favorite yearly activities is our annual Career Day. Professionals from across Jamaica are invited to talk about their work with the children. In the past, nurses, police officers, firefighters, and pharmacists have attended. It is a great learning experience for the students, and also a lot of fun as they are able to dress up and imagine who they want to be when they grow up!

Because of you, the Little Angels Learning Center students receive a high-quality early childhood education and the daily nutrition needed to give them the head start in life that all children deserve. Thank you for support!

Graduation & Summer for the Little Angels Learning Centers!

Two Little Angels With a Year's Work
Two Little Angels With a Year's Work

The school year is coming to a close for students at the Little Angels Centers (LALC) in Jamaica. Fourteen students from the LALC at Sophie’s Place in Gordontown graduated on Sunday, June 24, 2018 while twenty-eight students from the LALC in Kingston will graduate on Sunday July 1, 2018. Students from the LALC at Jerusalem in Kingston will also participate in a closing ceremony.

The learning does not end for all students on graduation day. A summer program is offered from July 2-12, 2018 at all LALC locations where children are engaged in learning through structured play and exploration. Activities offered include arts and crafts, sing-a-longs, field trips, and outside games.

The Little Angels Learning Center students come from impoverished areas of Jamaica. Because of the support of people like you, they are able to receive a high-quality early childhood education and daily nutritious meals. Thank you again for your generosity!
