Good news from Balou!

First and foremost, thank y’all for your contributions to this project! Thanks to your support the Balou Center children and its staff are gonna live in better conditions and their future is starting to bright off! There’s still work to do, but having collected half of the targeted amount is surely a great success!

The extraordinary Balou Center manager M.me Maguy, is really grateful for these results and is more and more willing to welcome disabled children and guarantee them a brightful future in Congo. They’re indeed a valued resource for their own country that must be underscored.

The project’s aim is to give these children and youngsters suffering from disability the opportunity to peacefully grow in a loving surrounding where they can play and learn to do some little work, so the Centre structure and its functioning is not to be taken for granted! Despite the ongoing progresses, there’s still an urgent need for electricity, because it works only a few hours a day and it’s endowed only with three small generators. In addition, the school’s cost of petrol is huge and unsustainable. That’s why the installation of a photovoltaic system is a must, also on account of having zero impact on the environment.

The “Little by little” campaign has brought a significant contribution to this project but there’s still much to do, let’s donate!

Good news: in June a volunteer, the referent of the project is looking forward to leave for Congo as to implement the solar panels project!

News and surprises!

First of all, we would like to thank you all for the great support you gave us during the Little by Little campaign. Thanks to your commitment, the result has been even greater than we expected!

Our families have spent an April full of surprises and news: a family in fact greets the Tuendelee structure in order to follow a path in complete autonomy: obviously, the operators and volunteers of Tuendelee have tried, where possible, to give their own small /big contribution by putting a table at your disposal; who some chairs, who thought to check if the washing machine of the new apartment was working, ready to repair it in the case.

New families instead enter the difficult and picturesque world of Social Housing: one of these comes from the CO-HOming project because it has been able to take some steps towards a new parenting dimension, aware that parenting does not only mean giving birth to a child but also knowing how to see them grow and learn interesting things about life every day.

Speaking of learning, the boys of the afterschool learned how our solar system is and how the human body, similar to the planets, gravitates around some concepts like "oxygen" "hydrogen" and other molecules of the chemistry of basis. There is still a way to go for them too!

Moments full of joy

First of all, we would like to thank you all for the great support you gave us during the Little by Little campaign. Thanks to your commitment, the result has been even greater than we expected!

We also have important updates from the Nurse me project. In March, our Country Manager Antonella went on a monitoring trip to Benin. She visited all the centres in which the Nurse me project is active, in order to bring there the powder milk for the children. Antonella told us that the visiting moments are always full of joy! Besides supporting the milk powder supply, in these centres children’s health is constantly monitored through medical check-ups. It is always emotional to see every year those children growing up and getting healthier.

We are so grateful for all the effort you have done and that we are sure you will continue to carry forward. Without you these great achievements would be impossible!
