Communication tools for young adults with autism

For young adults with autism, technology can often make the difference between a life of isolation and a chance for a vibrant, related social learning experience. This challenge is to raise $5,000 to buy interactive white boards for young adults in 3LPlace's new Life College. The white boards provide different ways of presenting information: through sight, touch and real time, active engagement with the material. If we have 40 donors in 30 days, we also win a spot here on Global Giving! project reportread updates from the field
Dev. Disabilities:A Peaceful, Healthy Garden Space

Mental and physical wellness and nutrition are critical issues for adults with developmental disabilities seeking to live the most healthy and independent lives possible. 3LPlace, with your help, will create a multipurpose garden at our Life College Residence in Somerville, Massachusetts, offering space for quiet reflection and yoga, to teach about food production and gardening, and to engage in gently interrelated community activity. project reportread updates from the field
