Water Charity

Our goal is to rehabilitate broken handpumps, improve clean water access, and stop waterborne disease in rural villages in Gambia, West Africa. We envision a future where all Gambians have access to clean water; a future where no rural community suffers from water shortages, broken water infrastructure, or waterborne diseases. We imagine a Gambia where all citizens have their domestic, agricultural, and livestock water needs met by reliable access to a safe and adequate water supply.
Bring Clean Water to 15 Villages in Rural Gambia

This project will repair broken handpumps in 15 rural villages in Gambia, West Africa. For many communities, handpumps are the only sources of clean water. When they break, locals have to depend on dirty and unsafe open wells. Our work restores clean water access, prevents waterborne disease, and lessens the burden of water collection, especially for women and girls. This initiative will benefit 10,000+ women, children, and men with increased water security and improved health. project reportread updates from the field
