Stop Violence Against women's in India !!

Dear Friend's Namaste!

The Fundamental Rights of our constitution strengthen us. When we talk about the freedom, men and women both have equal right without any discrimination, but women often face discrimination that have resulted as so many social evils that our society still practise and such social evils still confine women. Violence against women, female feticide, gender inequality, child marriage, undulation, dowry are some of the social evils that our society practice.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan raises voice against the social evils spreaded in the society and has took a number of initiatives. In the series, in the collaboration of GlobalGiving Foundation, four-days awareness campaign was organized under the project where more than 360 women took participate. A workshop to prevent violence against women and women's' legal rights was held under the campaign where the participants got acquainted about their legal rights and a message was delivered to be free-of-violence. The participants also learned about female foeticide, gender inequality, child marriage and other social evils through role plates and debates.

The participants (women and girls) supported the program through signature campaign. The entire program made the participants aware of the issues and they raised voice against the evils through a public rally by chanting awareness slogans through which they also delivered a firm message to the society that women are also an integral part of the society. During the program, many participants discussed with the RSKS activists and shared their views. Such awareness program doesn't bring change in the society all of a sudden but it has introduced a wave of changes to the society that has started changing orthodox and conventional belives of the society. All women and girls thanked GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors along with RSKS.

One of the women participants shared the experiences of her life to our female activist during the program. Her name is Reshma (Name Changed) and she is 32 years old who got married 5 years ago, having a girl child.  Reshma's husband abused and beat her since the beginning of their married life but now their girl child is suffering from the bad effects of the behavior of her father to her mother. Reshma was so worried but she couldn't share her feelings to anyone. The workshop provided her a platform to share her experiences and feelings and to know about her legal rights. Reshma has decided not to tolerate more violence and to fight for her rights.

Many thanks again for your support!!

The Street; Happy Smile of children !!

Dear Friend's Namaste!

The poor children being isolated from the society live their life at the road side. Being isolated from the main stream of the society, they have only one task to complete in their daily routing is to seek meal for two times in a day. Such children are neither able to learn moral values nor discipline as the society vanishes their existence that restricts their overall development.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan came forward to help such poor children and with the financial support of GlobalGiving & Donor, we organized a campaign of sports, Discipline and Customs for such children. RSKS first selected 10 slums of the city and then organized the campaign in the slums where more than 350 poor children participated in the campaign. In the sports, discipline, customs campaing, the children first learned the moral values and customs as to respect elders, how to keep ourselves neat and clean, etc. The also got known about nutritious diet. At the completion of the program, our activists played them educationals and interesting games that made the children happy.

RSKS activists experienced the returning childhood through the program as all the children participated in the activites with excitement, hoyden hood and were singing & dancing with joy and happiness. We are running short of words to express that moment. The child performed best in the sports was awarded and at the end of the program Nutritious,  biscuits, chocholates, kurkure and other delicious food stuffs were given to the children that made them happy and they thanked our activists for the stuffs.

After a few days, our activists visited the same region and met with an older resident Mr. Ramkaran (Name Changed) of the slums. Mr. Ramkaran told our activists about the beneficiary children that after the sports, discipline and customs campaign he observed some changes in the life of the children. Now, the children kept themselves neat and clean and played games in the evening all together that developed the feeling of unity among them. Some of the children decided to join the main stream of the education and started learning & studying with the support of their family members. The localites wished to have such sort of campaigns and programs to be held regularly in the locality that bring poor children to the main stream of the society and become helpful to build their carreer. Mr. Ramkaran thanked RSKS from the bottom of the heart.

Many thanks again for your support!!
