Village Soccer Dream Teams

Our soccer program is complementary to our school English & Nutritional program. A sound mind and healthy body go hand in hand to develop full potential and confidence for young students. This year we have four teams entered into a weekend Soccer League with our two Khmer coaches. This gives them the opportunity to develop skills and takes them out of their rural environment. Confidence building and sportsmanship are a great tool for success and encouragement to dream big. project reportread updates from the field
450 Cambodian children receive a better education

We ensure almost 1100 students receive a better quality education through our school programs. Students get much needed classes in English, computer skills and sports as well as learning to read and draw in our student's library. We work within existing Cambodian government schools to meet urgent educational needs. Our program prepares rural Cambodian children for their future and equips them with the skills to make their dreams a reality. project reportread updates from the field
Empower 100 Cambodian Girls Reach Full Potential

With the lack of family knowledge, teenage girls have nowhere to get advice on health and hygiene, domestic violence, nutrition and puberty. We are working with nursing graduates from the Angkor University in Siem Reap, who provide twice weekly sessions to our teenage students in Tapang School. Having a sympathetic ear and advice will give the girls confidence and help them blossom to their full potential.
Puberty Education and Sanitary Kits for 350 Girls

Our data shows that most of the girls don't learn about puberty and menstruation from their mothers. CCDO initiated a puberty program for girls and boys to learn about their growing bodies. CCDO is proud of this comprehensive 6 week program which teaches puberty as well as respect, communication, anti-domestic violence, human trafficking and healthy relationships. We give sanitary kits to the girls so that they can continue going to class during their periods. project reportread updates from the field
Become a Real Tooth Fairy to a Cambodian Child

Become a real Tooth Fairy! The first mobile dental clinic at Kokchan School, in rural Cambodia, will treat 510 children. Cambodian dentists and dental nurses with assistance from California Student Dental Mission volunteers will provide exams, extractions, fillings, sealants and fluoride treatment. Oral hygiene lessons, toothbrushes, and follow up will be provided. These rural children have never seen a dentist and many suffer from pain, making it difficult to eat, sleep and learn. project reportread updates from the field
Furnish New English Classrooms

We had a generous donation of funds to build 2 new English Classrooms as well as a Computer Lab and a cultural center for movement and plays. However, we need funds for desks, teachers tables, storage cabinets, whiteboards and tiles for the floor and a stage. We have 416 English and Computer students who will benefit from the new learning center. project reportread updates from the field
Prevent Child Trafficking with 10000 Comics

Children are the main target of human trafficking for sexual exploitation, being sold by their own families to pay for debts. Raising awareness within the community is crucial for future prevention. The use of comic books to illiterate parent produces the best results when combined with community workshops. A picture is worth a thousand words! project reportread updates from the field
