Mothering Across Continents

The mission of Mothering Across Continents is "Adopting Dreams. Raising Tomorrow's Leaders." We pursue this mission by providing a platform for volunteer catalysts - particularly women - to receive consulting, coaching and mentoring to develop dream projects. Our focus is developing and delivering innovative education projects serving orphans, at-risk, and vulnerable children in the most impoverished, under-served locations. We're committed to guiding these projects to become models for change.
Help Lost Boys Support Education & Peace
In collaboration, three former Lost Boys of Sudan - James Lubo Mijak of North Carolina, Ngor Kur Mayol of Georgia, and James Manyror of Colorado - are working with support of Mothering Across Continents to manage model schools serving home villages. Funds will be used for uniforms, teacher stipends, meals and scholarships at two schools with 300-plus children from three villages. Education and literacy in Unity State rank among the lowest in South Sudan, the world's most fragile country. project reportread updates from the field
Educate 30 Young Women Business Leaders in Haiti
Education and mentoring for women and girls is one of the top factors in a country's economic development. In rural northern Haiti about 90 minutes from Cap Haitien, the High Hopes Haiti project will provide group lessons in English, business development and computer literacy to high school girls and young adult women. All 30 participants will, in turn, "give back" by providing weekly English language training to local school children and sharing aspects of their training with other area women. project reportread updates from the field
