GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY  WITHIN AND BEYOND

As Successful and fortunate people, we can give our time, techniques, talents, education, we can share with our community whatever could benefit them, from whatever God entrusted us.  We can help our community to improve their condition of living, supply water, build homes, schools, health centers, micro-lending and farming projects, etc :

For my last 25 years of experience in serving the community and my nation, I have discovered how  much joy and  honor we gain in serving and giving back to the community. Giving back to  a within and beyond community gives us a pleasant feeling of connectedness and the satisfaction of at least trying to make our community  and the community beyond  a better place. This is about Compassion in Action toward our community and people.

Building a shelter for widow  family, orphans and needy families in Burundi, helps reduce the expansion of AIDS and the mortality, occasioned by the present conditions of living of thousands of widows and needy families in Burundi. Your help would enable JRMD provide shelters to 100 widow families and orphansed children in Burundi. So far, we have built 7 houses for 7 widow families of the 100 homes we plan to build in Buganda.  93  widow and orphaned children families, still need shelters, where they can live in security and peacefully.

Helping a widow family to improve the condition of living by providing an affordable home, which costs $998; a home that accommodates a family of 7 to 10 people is unforgettable gift that you can give to a widow family in Burundi during this coming summer season. Providing a home to a widow and needy family will help reduce the expansion of AIDS and the mortality of unprivileged children occasioned by the present conditions of their living. A home is one of the most important things that contribute to a good living of a human being.

Until our project is fully funded, we will be sending you regular reports about our work. You'll know what your donation has helped fund, what accomplishments we have achieved and what our current needs are.

Thank you so much your prayers and financial help,

Prosper Ndabishuriye General Coordinator and Founder

MERCI FEELS LIKE A NEW PERSON AFTER HIS SURGERY

MERCI FEELS LIKE A NEW PERSON AFTER HIS SURGERY IN INDIA

I. IWACU KAZOZA SCHOOL:

Iwacu Kazoza School is changing lives of underprivileged children in Burundi. The school year 2019-2020 will start on Monday, September 5, 2019. For this school year 2019-2020 we will be expecting to receive over 500 underprivileged children to be enrolled in IWACU KAZOZA SCHOOL. Remember most of them are orphaned children and from very poor families. Because of your continuing donations and your personal commitments, The school year 2018-2019, we have reached our goals. This not only means so much to me, but it especially means so much to the underprivileged children schooling at Iwacu Kazoza School, their parents and their teachers. Because of your donations, during the school years  2018-2019, IwacuKazoza School has been ranked among the best schools of Cibitoke Province, providing  quality education in Burundi.  This is witnessed and confirmed by the results of national exams that our students have been participating in.

As we were not able to raise enough funds to pay teachers and purchase all the school materials that the school was in need, during the school year 2018-2019 we experienced challenges. But with the financial help of our donors, the school year ended well. As result of that, we finished the school year with 487 students and 64 students of the 487 students, their graduating ceremonies are scheduled on October 1, 2019.

Just to let you know that we have a very urgent need to purchase 88 student’s desks and repair 68 that are not in good condition: - Purchase 88 student’s desks: $35X88=$3,080 - Repair 65 student’s desks: $14X65=$910

- Purchase student’s and teacher’s books including other different school materials: $2,147 Total Cost: $6,137.

In addition of that, we need your monthly donation to help and enable us to pay teachers and administration staff salaries.

With the help of our donors, in 2019 we were able to send an orphaned boy, Merci Irakoze to Chennai Hospitals in India for his surgery.

When Merci Irakoze left Bujumbura for Chennai Hospitals in India, he   could not stand up or sit on a chair, but today he can stand up without the help of crutches and sit down for hours. He can walk with the help of crutches for more than a mile. “This is amazing, this is a miracle” joyfully said her grandmother when she met Merci at Bujumbura International Airport when he came back from India. Merci is very happy to be back home and join his grandmother.

II. MERCI FEELS LIKE A NEW PERSON AFTER HIS SURGERY IN INDIA:

Merci is very happy and feels like a new person as you can see from the photographs. His improvement is amazing! He is very thankful to each one OF those who helped financially so that he can travel to India for his surgery, a surgery that was not possible to be done in Burundi.

He was admitted in Chennai Hospitals on June 6 with deformity of right hip and knee with inability to walk on his own. Upon initial evaluation of Merci at the Chennai Hospitals, they have seen infection in the hip region and Merci was treated for that. Along with the unexpected infection, the right hip had fused in full external rotation with left knee "flexion contracture of 90 degrees", meaning that the muscle and joint were shortened and his right ankle is in "Equinus" which makes it difficult to flex. This led to a more complicated surgery. Remember Merci had two surgeries within 30 days where he was admitted in Chennai Hospitals.

Because of your generous donation Merci’s Hospital Bills for his two surgeries and hospitalization have been paid. He is now back to Burundi. May God bless each one of those who donated to help Merci travel to India for his surgery in Chennai Hospitals and travel back to Burundi.

Thanks to each and every one of you who did their part to help Merci travel to India for his surgery and bring him back home, including those we do not know. We appreciate all of you!”

Until this time, we still need to purchase school supplies, buy additional student’s desks and repair the desks that are not in good condition. To meet this urgent need, we need friends and friends of friends to continue to help and enable Iwacu Kazoza School to continue provide education to the underprivileged children, help them prepare their future so that one day they will be able to help themselves and give back to their community and nation.

Every donation helps ensure that we can continue helping underprivileged children to have access to education. Let us together continue to be a new hope for the underprivilege and orphaned children. Yes, WE CAN.

For JRMD and Iwacu Kazoza School,

YOUR SPECIAL EASTER GIFT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A WIDOW’S LIFE

Your Special Easter Gift will help build a home for a widow family, reduce the expansion of AIDS and mortality occasioned by the present conditions of their living. Your donation will make a huge difference in a widow’s life and orphaned children.

Your Easter donation would help and enable JRMD provide shelters to 100 widow families and orphans. So far, we have built 9 houses for 9 widow families of the 100 homes we plan to build in Buganda. 91 widow families and orphans, still need shelters, where they can live in security and peacefully. As you know, Peace education is not possible for people who do not have where to live. There is NO way to promote peace, reconciliation, education, development, safety, health in and among the families who do not have shelter/home. A home is one of the most important things which contribute to the good living of a human being.

Helping a widow family to improve the condition of living by providing an affordable home, which costs $998; a home that accommodates a family of 7 to 10 people is unforgettable gift that you can give to a widow family in Burundi, during this Easter season.

Thank you for your Easter donation to a widow’s family that will enable JRMD Team to provide a shelter to a widow family and orphaned children.
