UNFORGETTABLE GIFT YOU CAN GIVE TO A WIDOW FAMILY

Building a shelter for widow  family, orphans and needy families in Burundi, helps reduce the expansion of AIDS and the mortality, occasioned by the present conditions of living of thousands of widows and needy families in Burundi.  From these pictures,  you can see how is the condition of living of those widows and orphans that JRMD is serving in the area. Your help would enable JRMD provide shelters to 100 widow families and orphans. So far, we have built 5 houses for 5 widow families of the 100 homes we plan to build in Buganda.  95  widow families and orphans, still need shelters, where they can live in security and peacefully.

Helping a widow family to improve the condition of living by providing an affordable home, which costs $998; a home that accommodates a family of 7 to 10 people is unforgettable gift that you can give to a widow family in Burundi. Providing a home to a widow and needy family will help reduce the expansion of AIDS and the mortality of unprivileged children occasioned by the present conditions of their living. A home is one of the most important things that contribute to a good living of a human being.

Until our project is fully funded, we will be sending you regular reports about our work. You'll know what your donation has helped fund, what accomplishments we have achieved and what our current needs are. Donation can be made through the following link: http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/providing-shelters-to-100-widows-in-buganda/

WE WON'T CEASE ADVOCATING FOR THOSE IN NEED

WE WON’T CEASE ADVOCATING FOR THOSE IN NEED

We won’t cease advocating for those in need until they are resettled and have a shelter where they can live with their families.

As informed you in my previous reports, some of the survivors of Carama flooding are still living in the remains and others are still living in displacement camps; today they feel like abandoned survivors, waiting for a help from people who care to make them smile again and be resettled in their own homes. Remember, during the Bujumbura flooding, one couple lost their 6 children, killed by torrential rains and over 100 people died.

The current living situation of those families is becoming more horrible, due to the lack of food to eat  and  shelter.  As they continue to live in the remains of the houses  destroyed by floods, they are afraid that  any time, they can fall on them and be killed.

To build one home it costs $998, a home that can accommodate a family of 7 to 10 people. . A home is one of the most important things which contribute to the good living and security of a human being. Until this time I am writing this report, only $210 have been donated for this project.

As we continue to share the needs of Carama Survivors, I continue to hope and believe that donors will consider making donations to this project, so that we can help the survivors of Carama  rebuild their homes,  in their own  land and save their lives.

Until this  project is fully funded, we will be sending you regular reports about our work. You'll know what your donation has helped fund, what accomplishments we have achieved and what our current needs are.

Thank you so much for your consideration to help JRMD   make a difference in Carama survivor  community in Burundi, Africa.

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GIFT!

Let us together enjoy Christmas and New Year Seasons’ Holiday.

In Burundi, Christmas and New Year days,  people expect  for 4  things  to happen in their families and community: (1) Celebrate Jesus’ birth day (2) Worship and Thanks Giving to God, (3) Eat good food and drink,  (4) and parents buy  new clothing  to their children  and husbands to their wives.

These two celebrations are going to be celebrated when  we were not able to pay our teachers’ salaries for Octobre, November and December 2015. You can imagine how they will be feeling.

I am very grateful to our donors and friends, and friends of friends who are making their donations to help JRMD continue to provide education to the underprivileged children, schooling at Iwacu Kazoza School. If one person was to try do this work alone, it would be impossible. This is  only possible through partnership and joining hands together to build the society and the world we want that each one of us is longing to see and live in. Because of your donations, the school  is now providing education to 497 underprivileged students  during this school year 2015-2016.

Our current needs:

To pay teachers’ salaries for October, November and December 2015, we need $8,340.

To provide student materials and uniforms to 112 children from very  poor families who are now schooling in our school (at Iwacu Kazoza School), we need $4,500.

Digging a well and building a water tank for the orphanage and Iwacu Kazoza School will cost  us $20,000.

Your Christmas and New Year donation will enable us to provide clean water to the orphanage and 497 students schooling at Iwacu Kazoz School and surrounding community of the above mentioned school; pay teachers’ salaries and purchase student materials including school uniforms. You can now make your Christmas and New Year Gift through the following link: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/providing-education-to-450-youths-in-ruhagarika/

Our total school budget is $65,646 for this school year 2015-2016. This budget will enable us to pay teacher’s salaries, buy student and teacher’s books, school supplies and purchase new benches.

I know there are a lot of other ways you could have spent this money, but you believe in our cause, so you chose to invest it in our project. Because of this investment, I want you to feel like part of our team. We're in this together. I want our success to be your success. We give thanks to our donors and GlobalGiving for making possible the education of these children, who could not have access to education without your financial help and prayers.
