Carolina for Kibera, Inc.

Run by Kenyans and advised by American and Kenyan volunteers, CFK's mission is to promote youth leadership and ethnic cooperation in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya through sports, young women's empowerment, and community development. Additionally, CFK works to improve basic healthcare, sanitation, and education in Kibera.

Education is an important aspect of the contries development towards proper economic growth.If provision of education becomes a problem in the society that shows that the future of the country weary and lack prospect for country and the individuals in the country .This is evident in the slum of Kibera where people are living in a low standard of living thus making life difficult for them. Due to this Caroline launched a program school drpout.This was to helpthe youth in the society by them joining technical institutions and others going back to school all in the name of Caroline for Kibera.By doing this the organisation helped save the future of the children and the economy of the country. Map of FREE INTERNET SURFING Information is an important thing in the community and to a personal level.This can be used for news purposes educative and generally to put the community in pertaining current affairs. Due to this in the slum of Kibera since a large number of people in the community are poor thus lack of avenues to get information from.Due to this Carolina for kibera launched internet free cyber cafes in the region which are used by students and learning purposes in general. Kick Drugs Out Of Kibera

Map of KICK DRUGS OUT OF KIBERA Lack of employment in the slums of the country and mostly in Kibera with the high living standards that is hard to meet with the lack of employment that the youth are facing.This has led to the youth involving themselves in crime and drug use which has made life difficult for the youth in the slums who in turn turn to drugs so as to console their lack of employment in the country. Due to this Caroline launched a sports program so as to promote the youth in sports while educating them on the harm of drug use and its influences thus leading change of attitude of youths and rehabilitating the rest who are addicts from drug use in the region. Due to this Caroline for Kibera launched a sport program to help in educating the youth on the affects and harms of drug abuse in the society.This helped to educate the and also the sick and and addicted in the society were taken to the rohola centers where they were taken care of .This Program helped educate drug addict thus reducing the cause of drug related violence. Changes In The Slum

Map of Changes in the slum Carolina for kibera has helped many of the street children.This organization gives help those in need like bringing food for them,shelter and clothing.They have organized tournaments for the teams within kibera .This helps for physical well-being.These tournaments helps the youth not to rob others because they have nothing to do.We play foot ball and we are being paid.This organization ha given jobs to the youth.They are planning to build houses for those who have AIDS and those who don't have parents.If we play foot ball we come closer as brothers and sisters and don't get the time to abuse drugs and do bad things.Kibera youth have thanked Carolina for the good work.
