Since everything is online now we also moved from physical classroom to online classes. But all our beneficiaries are from disadvantaged background, not all of them have smart devices to access classes. So for studnets who have access to devices we have been conducting online classes thrice a week as per Governments order. For the remaining students, our teachers are calling them and teaching to make sure they retain the topics the have learnt in previous class.
We are making sure that our students are staying engaged and learning at the same time. Also we have having lot of fun. We celebrated all our events online the year. Childrens Day, Christmas and all.
We are trying our best to stay connected with all our students during these times but still looking for donors we can support us to provide devices to all our students.

New Normal-Online Teaching
By Satya Lakshmi - Program Manager
This pandemic has changes so many things. It effected the lives of many.. Students are the ones who were effected a lot. We closed our school in mid March. Since then we have been taking online classes for our preschool children once a week based on the guidelines of the State Government. Our teachers teachers are in regular contact with the students. We are sending worksheets and short videos everyday to the students to make sure they continue the learning at home. However the reach is not more than 50% as our students are from economically backward families and many cannot afford smart phone and internet. We are trying reach these children through calls. But this is not of much help as their parents are illiterates and cannot help them in studying at home. Hope everything will be normal soon.

Covid-Emergency Support to Our Students Families
By Satya Laskhmi - Program Manager
We had to close of school in March month itself as a precuationary measure for Covid-19. Most of our preschool children parents are daily wage workers. Many of them lost their work due to LockDown. We felt that we need to support them during this time. We supported arount 50 families by providing finanical aid of Rs6000/- per family. We also provided ration bags consisting of Rice,Daal, Ragi, Salt,Oil and Chillipowder to around 400 families. We are also making sure that our children are safe physically and emotionally, by stayig in contact with them through phone and asking their well being. We are sharing simple tasks that can be done at home to make sure they continue learning.
We are planning to continue our support for atleast 2 more months. We thank all our donors who responded positively and stayed with us during this had time.
