Fred Kyakonye busy selling herbs and used books
First off, HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to our project this far, we are making progress! And be sure that we are also working to raise money here in Uganda.
We are keeping ourselves VERY busy selling strawberry plants, basil, ginger, aloe, and rosemary plants at local markets around Uganda's capital city, Kampala. We also have a variety of eclectic tropical trees which we are cultivating and we will soon sell to fund the water well, these include cashew trees, tamarauind, starfruit, and mulberry trees.
In addition, we have started a book exchange where we buy used books for 3,000 ugx (about $1.25) and sell them at 6,000 ugx (about $2,50) and we use the small amount of income generated to fund Grassroots Uganda projects, like the water well at Peace Demonstration Farm!
We are 5 days in to the April challenge and we are doing very well. Thanks again for your support and please keep it up!
