Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

We thank God for seeing us through the year 2018.

Our children are doing well. I'm happy to report that Angela was promoted to P3. She was 3rd I her class. Flavia was promoted to P5. She was 12th, while David was promoted to P6. He was 6th in his class. Raymond is also doing well. He is attending school and working in his spare time.

We thank everyone who has supported us through the year. We hope this support will continue for us to be able to feed, dress, provide health care and others for the kids.

Thank you.

Merry Christmas!

Hello Dears!

Greetings from all of us here at House of Hope family. Merry Christmas to you and your dear ones in advance. Thank you so much for all your love and support.

Merry Christmas!

I'll just add a little bit onto Jenifer's Christmas greeting.

Things are going well at House of Hope. The children are healthy and happy and looking forward to a HUGE Christmas lunch and day long celebrations.

I have attached a couple photos of the children's Christmas card. It is addressed to both myself, and all of you who help make House of Hope a reality.

Thanks again, and we wish light and love to you and your loved ones this holliday season.

Christmas Clean-up!

new shelves!!!!
new shelves!!!!

Christmas in Uganda is a wonderful. It is a time when the kids all have a 6 week break from school, and family members travel from all over to spend the holidays together.

Since there are so many children and people available, it is also an excellent time for a much-needed deep cleaning of our libraries!

Everyone helps. Rags and mops and buckets of soap are everywhere. The shelves are moved out, the walls and floors scrubbed, the books all wiped off, and the shelves cleaned.

This last year we topped it off by replacing our crumbling bookshelves (apparently hundreds of tiny humans are rather hard on wicker shelves!) with a super sturdy wall shelf unit made of plank boards. We also fixed up our library door and got everything back in working order!

The libraries are for the communities, and it makes me proud beyond words when the communities come forward to help us. Whether it be donating supplies, simply saying ‘Thank You’ for our libraries, or them diving in full force for a day of scrubbing.

With their support, and support from donors like you, our libraries are a reality. Thank you, for all your ongoing love and support. Merry Christmas, and a joyous Holiday Season to all.
