We promote gender equality, self-esteem and human dignity for indigenous girls of rural Cusco, Peru, by educating, empowering and preparing them for economic independence and unlimited opportunity.
*Free primary grade education at CW School for Girls has 105 students (Kindergarten through 6th grade) includes: group problem solving, reinforcing female value and intelligence, personal integrity, values, personal self-esteem, and human dignity. *Daily nutritious hot meal for every student mid-morning to enable concentration and focus on studies and maintain healthy bodies * Transportation program to deliver girls safely to and from school to a central location in school van. Attendance is 99% with transportation provided to families unable to pay bus fares * Parent classes, teacher's classes: to educate adult women of the women's issues, finding voice, women's rights, Domestic conflict solutions without violence, resources for bigger issues, empowerment and co-operative problem solving in groups, creating change. * School participation in important awareness events: International Day of the Girl-our students made signs and marched together up and down the streets with megaphones telling families they are girls going to school to realize their dreams; March Against 'Violence to Women and Girls' day with school made signs* Free Dental care in school by local dentist for all students for school year 2013 *Require parent participation in daughters achievement events: Science presentation of ecological projects by students for family and friends* Art classes for all students. CW provides connection to outside resources for individuals and families for domestic violence issues, community group classes training for employment, health, legal assistance, etc,
