November was yet another fun-filled month for the girls of Tahanan Sta. Luisa. It was a month full of corporate events and visitors. It's the time when the spirit of Christmas is being felt more because of the generosity of the people - corporate events are being held; and surely there will be more in December. It was a very busy month for the staff as they continuously seek out corporate sponsorships and organizations that could support TSL's programs for the next year.
TSL also had a fun time when they went to Star City - a famous theme park in Manila. It was a great way to make the girls enjoy and have fun, and experience activities outside of the center.
TSL also attended for two Bazaars! One was for International School Manila's Charity Bazaar Event; and the other one was for Asia Development Fund, also an Annual Bazaar. We had a chance to display and sell the products made by the TSL girls such as bags, purses, and beaded rosaries and accessories.

Tahanan Sta. Luisa updates for October
By Joan Pachingel - Resource Mobilization Officer
Last October 12, the girls of Tahanan Sta. Luisa celebrated the International Day of the Girl. TSL’s regular volunteer and the International Day of the Girl Ambassador form the Asia Pacific, Ms. Michelle Alvarez, conducted an “Amazing Leadership Race” program and celebrated with the girls as well. The girls made a fantastic banner and played along in groups.
October was such a busy month for the girls of Tahanan Sta. Luisa. Team and Corporate outreach programs were being held at the center. The girls were also busy with their daily routines, and their ALS (Alternative Learning System) classes. Some of the girls were also preparing for the Accreditation and Equivalency Examination (A&E); which when passed, the girls will be accelerated to higher level of ALS, or be transferred to a formal school system; and for the older girls, will be referred for vocational training.
We are all praying for the continuous support of generous friends and families of TSL to help the girls - one step at a time.
