At Jonah House, early intervention for children with developmental retardation is still kept going on. Via this project, sustained therapies help the children make great progress on their language, motion or cognition.
Besides, the birth mothers at Jonah House who were supported to learn sewing and even develop their advanced skill have made a lot of stuff for their babies. Each product is made with love. It will be kept by side of the baby.
Most unwed mothers who stay at Jonah House are minor. They are going to decide that they will try to raise the babies by themselves or to surrender their babies for adoption. No matter what the decision are, the product would be very meaningful for their babies.

For the babies~ Love from the birth mothers
From January we started the course on sewing for unwed mothers at Jonah House. Most of the mothers are minor. They stay at Jonah House of Cathwel while they are pregnant. We hope to help the mothers to make something for their babies via the sewing course. In the future, no matter they decide to surrender their babies for adoption or raise the babies by themselves, the memory for doing thing for babies would be very important in the mothers’ life.
Some children with developmental retardation at Jonah House still undergo therapies. The therapists come every week regularly. It benefits a lot. Also, the course on art exploration is very expected by the children every week. It is a very interesting learning experience.

We did it by the end of year 2015 !!
By Lisa Chiu - Project leader
On the last day of year 2015, we fully funded the money with 12,000 for this project “Support children at Jonah House to go to preschool”. That was amazing! We want to express our greatest gratitude to all the people who supported us. This project made it true that nine children at Jonah House could go to preschool in 2015. So, we did it!
Before the children are adopted, Jonah House tries the best to supply them with good care. Especially, we think highly of their physical and psychological development at the same time. In 2016, we do still need funds to send the children to preschool. Please keep paying attention to our projects. Any support would be appreciated.
