Partial Scholarship of 118 students through GG!

Isha Vidhya Girl Students - 04-01-2019 - 1
Isha Vidhya Girl Students - 04-01-2019 - 1

Dear Patrons,

Happy New Year 2019!

It is with great pleasure and joy that we would like to share that through the donations obtained through Globalgiving portal between July and November of 2018, we were able to allocate scholarship amount of INR 7000 for each student for a total of 118 girl children!  The rest of the amount of their scholarship is funded by another organisation.

When you donate a partial amount of $20, $25, $30 or $50 for this project, your donation is combined with other donations or sources to make an education scholarship, a noon-meal subsidy, or a transportation subsidy for a rural Indian girl child who cannot afford that amount. Thus, your donation plays a key role in contributing to educating them so that they can come out of the poverty cycle of their family and work towards whatever they aspire to be in their life.

We would like to take this opportunity to let you know that this project has done well in the Globalgiving year-end fundraising, and we are in the process of allocating the scholarships as well as the subsidies for the funds received so far. We are also working on reserving scholarships and subsidies for the funds that will be received by end of January 2018.

We are in constant touch with you through our Project Reports, as well as the donation allocation details for the donors who donated in full for the scholarships or the subsidies. If you have any questions or need clarification, please feel free to email global.giving@ishavidhya.org.

We thank you for everything that you have done for the project, and look forward for your continued support.

Again, Happy New Year from the Isha Vidhya students and the team!

Thanks & Best Regards.

Science Exhibition At Erode School!

Science Exhibition At Erode School - 1
Science Exhibition At Erode School - 1

Dear Patrons,

Earlier this semester, Erode School organized a science exhibition in which students of the 7th and the 8th grades exhibited working and stationary science models. The effort of choosing the topic and preparing the model design enhanced the students’ problem solving skills and clarity about the topic.

Their parents inspected their work in wonderment as the students described the exhibits which were based on the concepts and the laws like Pascal's law, combustion in the presence of oxygen, series circuit, parallel circuit, exothermic and endothermic reactions, pressure exerted by liquids, expansion of gases, etc.

The students actively got involved in making the exhibition as a vibrant school reopening day. Their enthusiasm and comprehensive explanation motivated the parents to keenly observe the experiments. Science puzzles were also displayed and parents were encouraged to try them.

We look forward to to several such ideas and models coming from the students!

Your donations are the key in conducting such events and offering such exercises to the students.  We thank you from the bottom of our heart for your valuable donations which has enabled us to do so. We look forward for your continued support and engagement with our project.

If you have any questions or would like to engage with this project in some way, please feel free to email us at global.giving@ishavidhya.org, and we will get in touch with you.

Thanks & Best Regards.
