What GlobalGiving offers

Survey forms

We provide a survey form that can be easily tailored to meet your charity's needs, along with helpful suggetions about which questions might be best suited to you. You can also access more information about how to design a Storytelling form. Creating a form requires GlobalGiving membership (but this only takes 60 seconds and it's free).

Advice on how to recruit, train and incentivise volunteers

You and your organisation's staff will not be able to listen to a community yourself. You need help.

Please read our advice on recruiting community listeners and interviewers - the people we call "scribes."

Transcribing service

To help you make the most out of stories you collect, we'll transcribe your paper stories for free. You’ve already done the hard work - collecting stories.

Click here for advice on how to send us your completed forms. We will get them back to you within a week.

Access to database and a range of analysis tools

There are two versions of the analysis system, a simple one and an in-depth one. The first analysis tool allows you to search for key words and explains all the statistical data in a simple and effective way. It is therefore recommended as your first port of call when exploring the GlobalGiving Storytelling database.  For the more experienced user, who wants to gather more nuanced information, there is a more advanced analysis tool.

Read examples of organizations using these tools to answer their programmatic questions.

Advice on how to use the analysis tools

Whilst the database may seem daunting at first, anyone, regardless of their knowledge of statistics, can learn to use it in 10 minutes. Here is a step-by-step guide. Or alternatively, for those of you who like to read the instruction manuals click herehere and here.

One-to-one help

You can always just send an email to mmaxson@globalgiving.org or give us a call, and we will answer any queries you have.
