For the first time in years, APOPO is now allowing groups to adopt their own individual HeroRAT!
APOPO’s African Giant Pouched HeroRats are the only rodents in the world trained to save human lives, sniffing out Landmines and Tuberculosis in Asia and Africa. They are super fast, literally work for peanuts, and their trainable noses can be taught to recognize almost any smell! Our Heroes are too light to set off landmines and resistant to TB so they are not in danger during their detection work. Not to mention, they are absolutely adorable!
Organizations can now adopt, name, and be taken on an engaging, one of a kind journey into the life saving tuberculosis and land mine detection work of their own HeroRAT. Your members will love the novel life saving initiative, and your organization will benefit from the visibility of the HeroRAT brand, which is regularly featured in major media sources.
We offer three pre-designed packages
Silver – Adopt and name a life-saving HeroRAT working in Cambodia, Tanzania, Angola or Mozambique.
Gold – Adopt a HeroRAT and sponsor the employment of a HeroRAT trainer from the local community
Platinum – Adopt a HeroRAT, sponsor the employment of a trainer and fund a mine detection machine or support a TB Clinic that will treat the patients found by your HeroRAT.
Want something extra or different? Get in touch with us to discuss custom packages.
Beyond the pleasure of giving something truly special back to the world, sponsoring a HeroRAT includes various benefits, beyond naming and sponsoring a HeroRAT.
