The Community Fund: Airbnb's $100 million investment in communities. Partnering with GlobalGiving to support organizations around the world.

Hosts on Airbnb open their doors to travelers from around the world—and welcome them into their communities. As part of Airbnb’s commitment to serve our stakeholders, we want to give back to the places our Hosts call home. Through the Airbnb Community Fund, we plan to distribute $100 million USD over the next 10 years to local and national organizations that support communities around the world.

Airbnb’s Host Advisory Board worked with GlobalGiving to identify organizations addressing COVID-19 relief, economic empowerment and education. Airbnb Community Leaders and Host Clubs around the world then voted for the organizations they believe have the greatest impact.

Help Rural Women Gain Essential Business Skills
Mann Deshi Foundation is dedicated to the economic empowerment of rural women in India. Emergency Aid in the Covid pandemic- South Asia
In the world, 129.2 million girls are out of school. In Southern Asia, girls are disadvantaged for almost all levels of education. The Coronavirus pandemic is likely to have a huge impact on them, with an increased risk of sexual exploitation, early pregnancy and forced marriage. The economic hardships caused by the crisis will likely induce some families to invest less in girls' education beside increasing their domestic and caring responsibilities. The project take place in India and Bangladesh
Provide Quality Education to 15000 Amazon Children
Vaga Lume carefully selects collections of literature books to libraries and trains teachers as reading mediators in 86 rural communities in the Brazilian Amazon region. By encouraging adults to frequently read to children, Vaga Lume makes reading a pleasurable activity, helping to break the endless cycle of poor literacy skills of Amazon people. By donating to Vaga Lume, you will be offering 15,000 Amazon children opportunities they can only access through good quality education.
Affordable Housing for people with Disabilities
We are faced with more people with disabilities becoming homeless due to a lack of affordable housing. Unless & until housing is treated as a human right rather than a privilege disabled individuals will continue to be at risk due to lower income & rising rent prices. Addressing the root issues of affordability in the greater community, the disparity between rental prices & disability payments, & the serious lack of sustainable income opportunities for those who need flexible accommodations.
Help serve 30 000 meals in Africa during COVID 19
We feed the hungry by preparing food parcels and warm daily meals. These parcels are distributed to over 250 vulnerable children and families living in extreme poverty across the city. The daily meals are distributed to the homeless through a feeding scheme run every evening, where over 200 gather. During the outbreak of the virus these people are the most vulnerable and we have to ensure that they keep receiving food and nutrition. For some, the only food they receive is through Love Story.
Prevent Child Trafficking Through Education
In Northern Thailand, The Freedom Story works with children at risk to prevent human trafficking and child sexual exploitation through our 3 primary programs; Education, Human Rights & Sustainable Livelihoods. Through scholarships, tutoring, mentors, workshops, & additional programs at our community Resource Center, we're helping more than 200 children reach their potential and become the leaders of tomorrow.
