GlobalGiving’s Field Teams visit and support nonprofit partners in-person, ensuring they’re getting the most out of their experience with our community and helping them thrive.

From the mountains of Nepal to the shores of Ecuador, we’re committed to visiting our partners in-person to learn more about the cultures, sectors, and challenges that nonprofits face every day. This helps GlobalGiving stay more responsive in meeting our partners’ needs while also ensuring we’re hearing local perspectives from the people they serve.

Field Program Goals:

  • Create human connections within a virtual community
  • Strengthen relationships with our nonprofit partners
  • Support nonprofits with in-person training and resources
  • Evaluate projects to ensure donors’ gifts are going to trustworthy organizations
  • Inform GlobalGiving about the cultures and contexts in which our partners work
  • Discover new organizations and invite them to join the GlobalGiving community

Many Traveler Types Make Up the GlobalGiving Field Team

Field Travelers

Field Travelers are interns that spend months traveling in regions visiting dozens of organizations across a wide variety of causes. They conduct day-long site visits with the projects listed on GlobalGiving, host training sessions, and build relationships with local networks.

Country Consultants

Our consultants are long term, local professionals who help GlobalGiving find the best ways to support our partners in their country. These consultants connect with local networks, build relationships, and find the smartest and most effective ways for GlobalGiving to work internationally.

Staff Travelers

GlobalGiving staff regularly visit our nonprofit partners around the globe. These staff members conduct site visits with our partners, host training sessions and several times each year, offer up their expertise for a one-on-one consultation with a specific partner.
