About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to help us maintain operational excellence with Salesforce and other commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions that we plan to implement later this year.

This new role is ideal for an experienced Salesforce administrator who is deeply committed to “customer-first” and is eager to learn new enterprise business platforms, for which we'll provide relevant training, certifications, and on the job experience.

As GlobalGiving’s Systems Administrator, you’ll partner closely with internal business teams throughout the organization to ensure optimal performance of Salesforce and other systems (e.g., HubSpot and Fluxx Grants Management) by managing ongoing workflows, reporting, and data management as our business needs and processes evolve.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensuring optimal performance and the use of industry best practices for Salesforce and other systems for which we will provide relevant training.
  • Serving as the bridge between our business teams and technology, making it possible for users of any technical level to use Salesforce and similar platforms effectively.
  • Developing trusted relationships and working closely with our business team users to ensure they are well-positioned to grow and succeed (e.g., adding new fields, record types, and objects, creating custom reports and dashboards, and modifying validation and workflow rules as business needs change.
  • Managing data feeds and ensuring data quality.
  • Troubleshooting issues.
  • Managing software upgrades.
  • Staying up-to-date on new platform tools, capabilities, and updates.
  • Assisting with training to ensure users get the most out of our systems.
  • Continually optimize our platforms, tool, capabilities, and integrations to meet revenue aspirations and cultivate excellent customer experiences through maintaining cutting-edge technology

Required Qualifications

  • Experience providing help desk support for 50+ users
  • Experience supporting remote users and teams
  • Experience supporting audio and video conference technology
  • Experienced in improving processes
  • Comfortable independently researching solutions to issues
  • Decisive, energetic, and takes pride in high-quality work
  • Ability to create robust, accessible documentation for end-users and internal teams
  • Strong customer focus
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Excited about planning IT initiatives and continuous improvement (both of systems and yourself)
  • The ability to communicate ideas effectively in both written and verbal formats, to listen to others' ideas, and to collaborate to arrive at great solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • For this role to be a great fit for you, the following qualifications should resonate with you:
  • You have 2-3 years of hands-on configuration experience as a Salesforce administrator (Salesforce certified administrator preferred).
  • You are open to learning and taking on the systems administrator role for new platforms for which we’ll provide relevant training.
  • You have excellent problem solving skills and experience applying human centered design thinking.
  • You have experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • You have a passion for GlobalGiving’s vision, mission, and commitment to our core values

Salary + Benefits

Salary range: $65k to $78k

This is a full-time position on GlobalGiving’s Product and Tech team and will be filled remotely for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. Once in-office operations can safely resume, this role can either be based in GlobalGiving’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. or continue to operate remotely.

In efforts to safeguard the health of our employees and their families, GlobalGiving requires all employees to adhere to the GlobalGiving Vaccination Mandate policy upon their start date. New employees will be required to be fully vaccinated upon their start date, if expected to work from the office. New employees working remotely who will have occasional contact with the office and/or co-workers will also be required to be fully vaccinated.
