Are you a storyteller who knows how to move people to action with the right words, shared in the right format? Do you want to use your inbound marketing skills to help make the world a better place?
GlobalGiving, the first and largest global crowdfunding community for nonprofits, is looking for a Content Specialist to help us grow our impact. You should share our excitement for supporting local organizations in 170+ countries that educate children, feed the hungry, preserve the environment, build houses, train people with job skills, and do hundreds of other amazing things.
We have a casual open office environment where everyone's opinion and ideas are valued. We're committed to work-life balance and offer everyone opportunities to learn, experiment, and grow. Since creative, enthusiastic employees are our most valued resource and the basis for our success, we take great care in how we attract, hire, and support our team. If you're passionate about collaboration, curiosity, communication excellence, and continuous improvement, this position is right for you.
We are looking for a data-driven inbound marketer to lead content publication for our organization. You will be responsible for sustaining and improving our content marketing strategy, and in doing so, increase traffic to our site, improve our conversion rates, and help GlobalGiving develop more sustainable, meaningful, and lasting relationships with our donors and our nonprofit and corporate partners. You will work closely with people across the organization to develop content that positions GlobalGiving as a thought leader among its peers and constituents. This will require you to understand our key differentiators, be able to talk about our innovative products and solutions, and to develop strategies and content to showcase these to our distinct audiences. As part of this position, you will also develop and execute public and media relations tactics to elevate the GlobalGiving brand.
To do this well, you will need to understand who our targets are and how to motivate them. Using audience insights, you will learn what works, and create and curate compelling, engaging content that informs, inspires, thrills, and connects our users so that they are motivated to take action. Needless to say, this role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.
This job is highly collaborative and also requires excellent interpersonal skills. While some of your work will involve writing or creating content, much of it will involve coaching our internal team, our partners, or our volunteers so they can turn their expertise into share-worthy content.
The Content Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. The specialist also works closely with our product team to develop and iteratively improve our content management system and chief content hub, the Learn Library.
