Associate Product Manager

Description

GlobalGiving is looking for an Associate Product Manager who will play a key role in helping us create innovative products that will unlock the next 10 years of sustainable growth. Reporting directly to senior product management and working alongside internal stakeholders, the Associate Product Manager will help drive continuous improvement to the core financial operations systems we depend on to execute our mission. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual who is looking to expand their product management skills and experiences with an organization experiencing rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships and work closely with internal stakeholders for problem and solution discovery.
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to develop and test hypotheses and validate solution concepts.
• Assist with Minimum Viable Product (MVP) definition.
• Assist with the definition of user flows.
• Write business epics and user stories that articulate core jobs to be done.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop acceptance criteria.
• Own and manage a product backlog in JIRA to ensure UX designers and engineers have clear requirements and priorities for upcoming work.
• Help determine priorities and trade-offs for new capabilities and bug fixes.
• Set sprint goals that focus on the continuous delivery of value to our stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
• Assist with validation testing of new product features and bug fixes.
• Define and monitor metrics that inform the success of product features.
• Monitor team efficiency and work closely with Engineering to ensure solutions are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• At least 1 year of experience in software product management as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst.
• Experience working with Agile development teams.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.

• Experience working with financial technology and concepts is a plus.

Salary + Benefits

Salary range: $65-74K

Additional Information

This is a full-time position on GlobalGiving’s Product and will be filled remotely for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. Once in-office operations can safely resume, this role can either be based in GlobalGiving’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. or continue to operate remotely.
