Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Local Organisation Conflict

In a certain local organisation, women have ever reached senior positions in government and at the local level, most important decisions are now taken by leaders all of which are exclusively male. There are some localities where women are influential but while encouraging these remain exceptions to the male dominated general rule. An organisation where women's influence has been particularly felt is in reconciliation and conflict resolution between members or lineages that have disagreed. A woman who came from an organisation in conflict with its members is well placed to deliver the first overture to its organisation to open the way for meetings of leaders to resolve the conflict. On numerous occasions, the climate of conflict between members was tempered by peace rallies and demonstrations organised by women groups.
