Youth For Kibera Associstion

Youth for Kibera is a group that consists of 50 people. It started its operations in 2010 when 5 youths sat down and discussed on what initiative could be taken to combat the issue garbage throwing in the community. They therefore decided to form a group of many people in order to keep them going. Every members was suffered to donate a substantial amount of money for buying plastic bags for disposing garbage. After finding a dumping site the group commenced in activities by collecting trush and giving those plastic bags to the people whereby they would collect or pick garbage from them at reasonable prices. The group maintained the quality of cleanliness among the people living in Kianda and this was an opportunity for them since they gained a lot of money from the job.
