Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Attacked

Were it not for the police, I would be dead by now. It was on the 5th of July this year at about 10.30 pm, at that time I was going back home from my place of work when all over a sudden a group of five young men attacked me and started beating me. I shouted and screamed for help alarming two police officers who were patrolling the area. They came to my rescue and fired in the air. When the boys heard the gun. They left me and fled. I lay there unconscious for some minutes before I woke up again and saw them standing besides me. I wasn't severely injured and so they just escorted me to my house and left me.
