Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Training Kenyans On The New Constitution (devolved Funds)

Many residents of Kakamega have no knowledge of devolved funds for development that are available at their constituency or district level. Amkeni wakenya in their partnership with wewasafo funded a program where forums are organized and residents are capacity built as well as fought on devolved funds such as CBF and CDF as well as youth and women enterprise development funds. During such forums in Lurambi constituency this month, people do not know about existence of the funds let alone their purpose and where they can be accessed. After the completion of the forum, the participants felt hopeful and were ready to seek for and apply for the funds for their development after realizing that the most of the funds are always returned to treasury every end of financial year.
