Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Polio Vaccination

There was a polio outbreak in Nyanza. This was evident as one person was announced to have succumbed due to the disease.the government of Kenya then saw the need to help the citizens in the neighboring areas of Nyanza and Western Kenya avoid being infected by the virus. It therefore offered to give children of 5 years and below vaccination against the polio. The public health and ministry of health got involved in the whole issue.they therefore recruited some volunteers from redcross to help in the vaccination process. It was to take place from door to door and therefore it needed alot of manpower. The community was well served and to date no other case has been heard of polio.
