Odhiambo knows how to read and write.He is reading aletter to his grandparents.They do not know how to read and write.odhiambo is helping his grandparents.The ability to read and write is called literacy.In traditional African society the best way that parents would give a child was land.In modern society the best way they gave their children is Education.There many advantages when one can read and write like one can do to expert from a shopkeeper,one can read and write letter,read instructions on medicine before taking it read signpost and find direction without asking,read the Bible,to get a good job.
