Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Internally Displaced Persons - Idps

In 2008 after elections had been held in December2007, the results were not pleasing to some citizens of Kenya. It led to tribal clashes which led to people being displaced from their neighbourhoods and towns. Many of them had nowhere to turn to as their homes had been destroyed. The government had to step up so as to help the displaced persons. Many of them were taken to where at least they could get shelter but the places were not comfortable as they had to live in tents and rain was usually the big problem. Even after the tribal; clashes had ended, some of those displaced persons have not been given their official habitat by the government of Kenya.
