Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Female Circumcision

I remember well that day when a female rights organization visited our village. It was like a black man in white house because they were warmly welcomed.Their main agenda was on how to stop female circumcision which had been a problem in our community. They gave us the consequences of female circumcision which included, the spread of HIV/AIDS and also how it affects women who are married. They also said that female society and the society will be taken to be of illetrate people. They told as although some communities believe in this ritual it is know illegal in kenya and nobody should force us to be one of the victims. They told us that we have a right to say what yes or no to something and a person who shall be found forcing female circumcision should be taken to court immediately. They ended up by encouraging young female to have education because it is the key to success and help their communities so as to make our country more proud.Truly this people brought a big change to our community and this has led to our uprising.
