Famine

Mandera being a town in the north eastern part of Kenya is greatly affected by drought. It has been a long time since the drought proceeded to famine.this year was the worst since it involved livestock's. Pastoralism is the only livelihood of the people in mandera. After seeing the situation in the town, i thought that i had to do something.I asked my friend in the media to help me in getting the story to the whole country and outside the country. He did me the favour of highlighting the plights of the people. Corparates came together and started giving out donations in bulks. It also involved fellow countrymen assisting by sending their donations in either the form of money or food stuffs. The kenya red cross society were given the donations and hence forth distributed the relief to the community.
