For many years human beings have been fascinated by space. They have watched the stars and the planets with wonder.They have tried to make some conclusions about how these heavenly bodies influence life on earth. Space age started in October 1957 when the soviet union lauched the first satelite into space The first person to go to space was a twenty six year old Russian Yuri Gagrin, in April 1961. He spent ninty minutes in space and orbit the earth once. The success of the Russian in space shocked the Americans who had believed that the space programme was more advanced
