Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Developing A Community

Shabali tee water project is a group of community members who came together to drive off water from the main lake Victoria water pipe-(from chepsonoi to kakamega town). This group wanted to sensitize the community in order to have water individually homes/households.This would expose people to clean drinking water of course at a fee, some people took this positively while others declined because of a fee of only ksh/= 600 was attached. Most of those who took it seriously are already enjoying clean water, but those who declined are still fetching water from streams and wells. This project is still on going and the community is still digging trenches in expectation of pipes for provision of water unfortunately the people who have started benefiting from pipes which are very limited are officials and the community members are still looking forward to wherever pipes could come from.
