Cherono Is Saved

Cherono a maasai girl is now a hero this is after refusing to undergo the process of FGM. Cherono who turned thirteen was abel to run a distance of 42 km to escape this brutal act. Cherono by good luck was found by a children's officer who was on campaighn against the process of FGM.The officer took her to Upendo Childrens Home where she has been staying. The stay was ok until the village elders of her community arrived to take her home by force. This action really made Cherono afraid but luck was on the side of the officer was able to arrive just in time to arrest the elders hence saving Cheronos future to getting educated
