Youths Beating Odds

Change mtaani is a youth group that was started by like minded youths in Kibera slums.change mtaani means changing the neighbourhood.Having the passion to change their home area they decided to come up with a group CHANGE MTAANI.Lack of jobs in Kenya is not a strange thing to come across young people no essence to life. A forty seven like minded youth decided to best all odds and formed a young and hardworking youth group they do difficult activities that can generate for them income. 1 Garbage collection - this is done around houses the members have decided not to charge at a high price because the tiny standard in the area they charge 20 Kenya shillings at the end of the week. 2 Gaden in a sack - its done in sacks filled with soil and fertilizer are put planting of vegetables like onions,tomatoes and kales when products are ripe and ready for consumption the youths sell them the money is shared among the members the money helps the youths pay the bills. 3 poultry keeping - so far they have built a poultry house but they lack enough finance bring the chicks and and maintain them. 4 Fish pond - They have built also a fish pond but they are looking for mudfish since the pond place is muddy and can't support other fish species.
