Poultry Farming

Farmers in Lurambi were always practising poultry farming using traditional free range methods until the year 2011 when WEWASAFO through the program funded by ministry of Agriculture came in.The farmers are trained on value addition and going beyond poultry production to marketing and poultry added value.Now farmers are happy particularly the Sachirai farming group who now have successfully brought up more than 2000 poultry and by the end of the year they say they are expecting to reap from their labour because they have made contact and mous with Guest houses and hotels in the town to take their broilers after they are mature .This initiative was a blessing to the farmers.
