An Initiative That Has Worked Well

My husband Mr Ambani who is the secretary of Shivakala Youth Group in Kakamega North District has some story to tell of has good it is to dwell together in unity. Ambani joined this group being a bodaboda operator with one bicycle in 2009. Currently he now has a motorbike. He gradually increased the bicycles from one to two then three, employing other youths who helped him to multiply greatly. This is because the Youth Group empowered his capacity through loaning. He get Ksh. 15,000 at first, later Ksh. 18,000 and lst year he was able to get 25,000 which he used together with other savings to buy a motorbike. The motorbike has in tern become a major income generating object.
