Sanitation Facilities In School

In the year 2004, Ivumbu Primary school in Kaimosi had problems of lack of sanitation facilities in school.The school had been given a warning by the ministry of public health and sanitation to either add latrines in the school or risk closure within 3 months .The school administration approached komadep officer which was doing perfect on water and sanitation in Vihiga to help save the situation .The organization come in handy and worked with the school infrastructure department and together with the pupils in a participating approach and constructed six more latrines and water tank in the school compound.The school was then not closed after the three months and by now iit has been added more latrines through the Fpe programe.
