Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder

Shelter children Rehabilitation center in Ngong is an Organisation which has inspired my life since they brought me up.It was long since my mother left me alone in my grandmother in soweto around kayole .I had no clue of where she went nor my father was up to date .I had no one to cater for me i yet i had no started schooling .life became hard and stressful. Since i had no brother nor sister i decided to work away and join my fellow street children where i grew up, i ate what i got and used to sleep in sucks .in the street people are abused in each and every way like raping, being beaten but could not talk. Actually, i abused some drugs e.g glue and could even smoke, this is because i had no optional and l got used to life.I used to collect money around commercial, Gikomba and Marigiti. One day some people from no where came and picked some of us and took us to Karioko in Karioko in Kayole including women and even children.I stayed for some years and was taken to pendi kezo letu in Thika and stayed for one year .In 2003 i was taken in shelter children home and it became my home .I joined school and i try my best to achieve my goals . Thank God the centre has helped me found some of my relatives of whom i had forgeten because i was small and cant rember them
