Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Environmental Conservation

Nekesa is my name, since the government stopped destruction of forests and cutting of trees. We have a problem in our village due to lack of firewood. When children come from school especially female(Girls, they are sent far away i the bush to look for firewood just amear vegetation when they return it's already evening . This firewood is not enough and they do this everyday, they waste most of there time instead of concentrating on house work and home work from school. this led to poor performance. For now a solution from ICRAF an NGO that is operating in our region. Trees that can mature as early as 3months are inter cropped with maize.
