Challenges Caused By Disability

My name is Judith Akoth. i am writting about challenges faced by women who have chidlren with disability. In 2006, christine gave birth to twins prematrualy at seven months. A week later one of the boys died and was left with one boy who was called Shadrack. This woman was a housewife while the husband was working. After a duration of four months, teh woman realized that his son was not well and she decided to take the child to hospital. She was then reffered to New nyanza provincial general hospital in Kisumu. It was then realized that the boy had cerebral palsy and he had to attend therapy three times a week. The cost of maintannce to the kid was expensive and this made the husband to send the wife away and ended up marrying another woman. The woman had to go back to her parental home with three kids. The first two girls are normal and they go to school, but the third born who is now five years cant do anything. He just sleeps and cant walk, talk, sit or even eat. The mother cannot afford to take him for exercise and this has made him to continue deteriorating. The other two kids also need their basic needs and yet the mother is supposed to take care of the disabled kid. Their father is less concerned and this has left this woman with alot of frustration not knowing what to do.
