Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Caring For The Aged People In The Community.

I am a village elder in charge of Ingavira area in Kabras division in Kakamega North district. In relation to the social responsibility where the government found it necessary to care for the aged people of over 65 years. Certain parts of the country have been enrolled and are benefitting. They earn ksh 1500 per month to be able to assist the old people(of over 65 years). However there are those old people in our community who in the year 2007 were even asked to present their names and they did. They have not unfortunately been given any thing. The idea is good and is really helping other people elsewhere. Since the government is recieving heavy funding towards this cause it would only be fair that all such people benefit likewise including in my area. The idea has greatly changed people in the places where it has picked up and we hope the 25 that were enlisted in my area will soon too be considered. James Musutsa Village elder.
