There Has Been A Transformation Through This Group

I am Amina saidi the secretary of Tusonge mbele women group. This group is found in Kakamega central district since 2006 when it was started, the group which has a population of over 50 members has tried to address the problems associated to women and to enhance their capacity in development issues particularly targeting to improve the social status of their families. The group has done so in the following ways: -Since most of us members were low economically the group contributed finances for each member to buy land or sheep and in some cases cows. This has been done for many members including myself. In my case ,money was contributed Ksh. 30,000 and give to me to buy a milk cow, which has greatly transformed my economic status through the milk i sell to the villagers. -The group has also sponsored the members to attend training workshops and seminaries in building on farming methods and skills thereby lifting the productivity capacity of us members which i have personally reflected in improved production of maize, sugarcane and even vegetables.
