in our training youth centre in my local village in Ingavira sub-location,in kakamega north.the high number of youths getting tested for having HIV/AIDS had risen some as the infection of STI/sexually transmiotted Diseases, as well as the number of girls getting pregnant was getting higher and higher by the day. the local chief had to intervene by writing to the public health officials together with the ministry of health to come up with measures that will reduce the problem.a local public health official from the District head quarters came with contraceptives inform of condoms that were to be able to be given free of charge at our youth centre,and later told on how to protect themselves
